Hot Forging
Hot Forging is the plastic deformation of metal at a temperature and strain rate such that recrystallization occurs simultaneously with deformation, thus avoiding strain hardening. For this to occur, high work piece temperature (matching the metal’s recrystallization temperature) must be attained throughout the process.
Kalyani Forge Limited has close to 3 decades of experience in hot forging technology. During this period we have developed capabilities to work with variety of raw material, parts of varying size and complexities and in both conventional heat treatment and controlled cooling.
The Hot Forging facility has Press lines ranging from 600 Tons to 2500 Tons. The hot forged components manufactured go into multiple application and industries. The total capacity of hot forging plant is 25000 Tons per year and product weight varying from 100 grams to 12 kilograms.
